More Words, 2243
Still plugging away. Amazing how much I type and I only have 7 pages. It's About Time was the working title, but I have officially named it now.
Came up with a lot of great ideas at work today, even if my day started out a bit bizarre. Straight up 9am I get a page that I had a call, I answered and it was the assistant principle at the High School. Kiddo was in his office for fighting!! After I sat there in shock hearing him but not comprehending a thing he said. He asked if I wanted to hear what happened from her. aaaa yes!!!! Still had trouble hearing what she was saying still in shock with mouth gaping wide open I am sure.
Kiddo was walking down the hall, she thumps, pushes, whatever, this boy, a friend she thought, on the shoulder, while saying " Hey (his name) How's it going? he turned and pushed her back and then got in her "space" (her words) "you want a fight?" he repeated several times while walking forward still pushing her shoulder, with her stepping backwards, she saying "no just saying hey,.. back off, I don't want to fight, get back, stop... or something close to that... he doesn't, she got scared and KNEED HIM at which point he punches her in the stomach.
She doubles over, the wind knocked out of her and is crying, he runs into the bathroom, a teacher sees Kiddo, asked what happened, while a friend of Kiddo's a varsity Football player, went after the boy in the bathroom, the teacher goes in to get boy which thankfully prevents the friend from thumping the boy to bits... and both kiddo and boy are taken to the assistant principles office.
Where I get a call and so does the boy's dad, who thought his son over reacted. Duh??? I'd say, but then Kiddo should keep her hands to herself... while in office they both apologized, boy realized he shouldn't have done what he did.
Anyway I am tired so ... They both spent the day in ISS (in school suspension) with a 14 others already there for whatever reason, who Kiddo didn't know and both her and the boy where definitely out of place. And she couldn't talk at all ... ALL DAY!!! TO DANG BAD I say... she said that was the worst thing ever. Good Grief!! and I still have to figure out what consequences she gets from me... I believe in torturing her with the uncertainty. I have never gotten a call from the principle or assistant either, unbelievable...
