Over 52,000 perished and number expected to rise

I only thought about a tsunami when one was advertised in some blockbuster movie.

I just can't get all those images out of my head. I can't even image the terror of that moment. We went through a Tornado with no warning, which was bad enough, but a huge wall of water...

And the continuing stories that are coming in... The total devastation.

Nate Berkus, interior decorator, of Oprah show fame is a survivor, but his friend, photographer, Fernando Bengoechea has not been found. Petra, super model, clung to the top of palm tree for 8 hours with a broken pelvis. She is in a hospital.

And the many other people the news services are talking about. A man from Germany was interviewed with his two young daughters, they were swimming when the waves hit them. He thought he lost one of his girls. Both his girls were safe but there was no mention of his wife that I heard. Another man from Canada is looking for his girlfriend. He found his sister alive. Both of those stories are of people who don't live there.

The residents of all these countries who have lost... Family... Friends... Everything...

Most people that I know are broke... But $1.00, $5.00, or even $10.00 can go along way with all of us giving something. Do what you can. I suggest starting here: Network for Good
or if you don't want to donate by Credit Card. You can donate to the Red Cross at a local Coinstar machine... Here is a link to locate a Coinstar machine near you. We all have change laying around.
