( 1:30 PM ) I still need a laptop or at least another computer. The Kiddo has all but taken over this one. What with homework and her Girl Scout Gold Award stuff. I am rarely online. I am still writing though. On my book and some short stories. Alot of reading, wow, have I been reading. Kat gave me an idea when she talked about a reading list on a Florida Mom's group. Plus I have seen lists on other blogs where they have a link to list all the books they have read. So I am going to do that sometime soon. I am learning how to knit. I crochet but have not knitted since I was in the 4th grade. I started with a kit, a Christmas gift, from my sister. I still have no idea what I am doing. A woman at work helped me get started although it was HER way and looked nothing like the diagrams in the Kit Book. She left to work for another place last week. I do have a scarf for the Kiddo going. About 5 inches in to it, the pattern flipped around. I had been doing one row of knit and then one row of pearl.(sp) And before I knew it. Knit was where pearl had been and vice versa... so I came up with a way to remember what was what. When the smooth side is facing me that is like a smooth back. So yarn is fed from the back. When bumpy side is facing me. I think boobs/bumps in front so yarn is fed from the front. Dopey, huh? What with starting and stopping all the time to actually work at work I needed something dopey. It'll work for now until I find someone who knows how to knit. I hope I find someone soon as I am at the half way point. When I am done with it I have no idea how to end and take off the needle. I was inspired by all the knitting blogs that I stumble upon. I think they are coming close to outnumbering Mommy Blogs. I plan on posting a few pics on my other site, the family friendly one. Maybe tomorrow. On a sad note Mary Beth, writer, of THE FAT DIARIES blog has brought it to an end. I for one think she has much more to say but a family troll came out to her and that was hindering her writing style. Hopefully, she will take her blog and make it a book.
